Chef Hueng Chinese Restaurant in Alexandria

I heard good things about Chef Huang's on the local Nextdoor app and so I decided to try it for myself. The Kung Pao was tasty with just enough spice. The portion was very generous with lots of chicken. I actually had leftovers which is rare for me. The wonton soup was light and was fresh for so late in the day. The egg rolls were crispy and not greasy at all. My wife preferred my eggs rolls to the spring rolls she had. We also had chicken Lo mein which was also very good. It was carry-out only however the staff were gracious and helpful. I'll be back again soon Chef Huang!

Amazing hidden gem. The fact that this restaurant only appears on the 2nd page of Alexandria Chinese is a scam and very wrong. Best buffet in town. Small but everything perfect. Owner makes sure you’re happy. Again, very unique and true gem of a place.

Everything we've had there has been delicious. As a vegetarian, I love the Crispy Sesame Eggplant. My husband loves their chicken dishes. Highly recommend.

Ordered delivery. Food was amazing! They told us the wait would be 45 minutes but they had it to us in 20. The food tasted like it had just come off the grill. Staff is really nice as well. Love this place and will definitely be ordering more from them.

I was not expecting this place to be as good as it is but believe the hype. It is good! My only complaint is that the menu is way too large. They really need to consolidate their menu and simplify it. The second thing I would say is that they need to update their website. It's not easy to order online and the website is not secure. We wanted to order online but our computers were giving us so many red flags that we just ended up calling in the order.My wife and I order Beef & broccoli, Chicken & broccoli, and Won Ton soup. Even though what we ordered is pretty basic, the flavor was a step above the regular Chinese restaurant. The beef was tender and the broth was not greasy or heavy. As for my wife's chicken and broccoli she said that the chicken was tender, even the second day the chicken was great. She also loves the soup and says that it's the right amount of broth and noodle.I plan on ordering duck next time and maybe the General Tso's chicken dish.

Best Chinese restaurant in the area, good quality ingredients, good quality cooking, great flavor. You will not find a better place to dine in or carry out in the area. The owners are very nice and honest people always willing to please customers, they treat customers like friends and family. You will not be disappointed.

By far the absolute best Chinese food in the area. Food is always great and you always get way more then you can eat. Food is even awesome warmed up the next day. They are also quick on delivering. Food is still crazy hot too.

Amazing Egg Rolls! My family has driven actoss country and finally found the best egg rolls!Service is AMAZING! I dribbled sweet and sour sauce on my shirt and was using a napkin to blot it and they brought me a wet wash rag!Constantly refilling your water. The buffet is on the small side compared to what we are used too but hot and fresh food!!

After 5 years of being loyal regulars, today we were told by the owner to not return—some customers allegedly told her they object to my service dog in the restaurant! She was uninterested in the Americans with Disabilities Act federal LAW, so she has lost even our delivery business.Looking for new Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood.

The place was very nice and it had a good aroma to it. However the chicken I ate felt like it was not fresh. The sauce they used had very obvious artificial coloring, which was very unhealthy. The vegetables did taste quite average though.The tofu I ate had a very salty taste added to it but I think when eaten with rice it makes it less salty.

Was looking for a place for a quick sit-down dinner for the family in Lorton before heading back to NYC. The waiter was excellent and set us up for a family style dinner. Overall, the food was very good. The restaurant was clean. There were a few patrons in the restaurant - some looked like regulars. If we're in the area again, I would definitely come back.

Great food, hot fresh and flavorful. We had a large party and they made it easy. Get the dinner deal. The hot towels at the end are a nice touch.Only negative are the restrooms. They are so very small. I could not even turn around. Good luck trying to get a paper towel to dry your hands

The food is ok. I ordered the egg rolls, pan fried dumplings, and happy family which came with white rice. The egg rolls were the best thing about my meal. The dumplings were ok but the sauce that came with it was bland. The happy family, which is a mixture of pork, beef, chicken, scallops, and shrimp, only had 2 shrimp and 1 baby scallop. The portion was small and the sauce it was in was also bland. The veggies in this dish were cooked al dente. All in all ok food but nothing I will go back for again.

I LOVE this restaurant, I crave the food every time I think about Chinese food. I've had their food delivered a couple times and dined-in once. Their orange chicken is delicious, their chow mein is great, it's a 10/10 for me. The only problem is that sometimes I get too full to finish my food!

My family has ordered food from here for many years. The person answering the phone is always very polite and knowledgeable.The prices are very economical. The quality of the food is never compromised and seasoned to perfection. This statement comes from a professional chef. Its always hot upon delivery. I would recommend this restaurant whether a delivery or eat in. If you had a bad experience, this is because maybe you didnt ask the right questions and assumed.

This place is hard to beat! The food is fresh and less oily than in other places and the quality of ingredients far surpasses the norm. Everyone is super nice, from answering the phones to delivery. I like the Cleopatra chicken! Give them a try.

Great service and yummy Chinese. We just moved to the area and by far our favorite Chinese restaurant. Dining-in is a special treat as the older gentleman we always get goes the extra mile!!!

I stopped in here because I was feening for steamed dumplings for quite some time. This place was not it for quenching that fix. I also got some chicken wings they were decent. The service there was great though everyone was super polite and courteous and offered you help right away.

For more than twenty five years I have gone to the lunch buffet and ordered take out from this restaurant. The food is great and the people are top notch. The Cleopatra chicken is my personal favourite. Also try the crab rangoon if you eat here - it is the best that I have had. The egg rolls are also excellent. The best Chinese food in the Mount Vernon area in my opinion.

The best EVER . Great people, clean place and delish food

Very clean interior and a good atmosphere. The lunch buffet was constantly being refreshed so we didn’t see anything that looked old or cold in any way. The staff was very attentive and made sure our drinks were always full. And the food was some of the best Chinese I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place.
